Using GDPR as an OPPORTUNITY to modernize your IT, enhancing data privacy and protection while enabling new customer experiences?
The European Union's General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is the most impactful privacy law of the last generation. The GDPR requires us to apply more rigor to data privacy in order to avoid burdensome restrictions on data collection, and use, significant fines and credibility issues. Companies have until May 25, 2018 to bring their policies, products, practices and programs up to compliance.
Achieving compliance with the regulations is likely to require investment, but this provides an opportunity to modernise your IT and data governance, not only helping you meet the requirements of GDPR, but at the same time laying a foundation for digital transformation, improving your customers experience, and strengthening your market position.
March 14 or 15, 2018
With the increased digitization of our world and its privacy implications, the importance of modernizing privacy regulations to protect citizens has become imperative. The GDPR modernizes data protection laws and individual privacy rights for the first time in 20 years. The GDPR applies broadly, to organizations of all sizes and types, including large and small businesses and public authorities. The GDPR also has broad territorial application and could apply to your organization even if you are processing personal data outside of the European Union (EU) or have employees in the EU.
At the same time, many companies are looking at how they can modernise their IT and data governance, with a strong focus on the improved experience of their customers. During this session we want to inspire you on how the GDPR legislation might bring you on a modernisation journey and deliver additional benefits to your business along the way.
